In-Home Boarding
Is your dog already a trained and well mannered-pup? Consider our in-home boarding services right here in Sacramento! Boarding your dog in a home offers a cozy alternative to traditional kennels. Because dogs are boarded on an individual basis, they receive personalized attention, familiar routines, and customized care. This can reduce anxiety for your dog in an unfamiliar place, and for you while you’re away from them.
Boarding is a good option for well-adjusted dogs that are comfortable being in new places. Dogs that experience separation anxiety, have fears of new places or people, or are reactive towards other animals or people will not be accepted for boarding as it can increase these fears and anxieties. To be boarded, dogs must be comfortable:
– Behind a barrier and in a crate
– Being alone up to 4 hours
– With all human genders
– With cats

To assess if in-home boarding is a good fit, we start with a free 15 minute phone consultation. During this call we will discuss your dog’s care needs.

Meet & Greet
All new clients and their dog require an in-person meet and greet. This allows all of us the opportunity to make sure it’s a good fit.

Trial Overnight
All dogs are required to board for a one night trial stay before being considered for future boarding. The trial overnight is for a maximum of 24 hours.
$125 for one dog
$25 for one additional dog
Daily Rate
Boarding is charged for any portion of a 24-hour period. Drop offs and pickups outside of 24 hours can be arranged for an additional fee. Boarding stays are limited to 2 dogs.

Requirements
While I provide housing, enrichment, and exercise, you are responsible for providing your dog’s food, leash, flat collar and harness, crate, any medications, and all transportation for pick-up and drop-off.
Your dog must be at least 8 months old, up-to-date on all vaccinations (DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella), free of transmissible diseases, and in general good health.
This service is not suitable for dogs with separation anxiety or reactivity towards other animals or people.
Holiday Rates
Because of the high demand around holidays, there is an additional $25 per day charge.
The following days will incur this additional rate:
